Being Guilt Free and Moving Forward

Being Guilt Free and Moving Forward

I came across a verse and I’m sharing it to you.

But I, yes I, am the one who takes care of your sins-that’s what I do. I don’t keep a list of your sins.

We experience hurt, guilt and many forms of discouragement because of our past. Most of us are prisoned in hate, despair and self-pity probably because of sin.

Hurting others allows yourself to learn how to ask forgiveness, make peace and show respect. If you are hurt, it is also an opportunity to practice the act of forgiving. The problem when we become bitter and offended? We don’t move on and choose to be unforgiving.

There was a writer who shared about his experience as a young Christian. He believed that there will be a time where your sins will be projected in a wide screen for everyone to see. Until he read the verse above.

Let me tell you, I believe God forgives and does not keep a record of your wrongdoing or sins. He reminds you of His mercy and love while the devil reminds you of your inadequacy. Losers and self-righteous people will condemn you and bring you down – they believe they are perfect.

Some of your friends or love ones who have offended in the past will be tested too. Will they see the good in you like God does? Or will they remind you of your sins and keeps record or list of your mistakes like the devil? You can easily identify them.

Sometimes, we are what we think. Are you a negative or a positive thinker?

Do not be discouraged because our past mistakes will not be listed or projected in the screen like some false preachers teach us. Oh, I think I also saw it some leaflets and religious tracts if I remember.

Which is harder, to ask forgiveness or to forgive?

What hinders us to forgive? Are we perfect and shameless and we demand faultlessness?

I know what it feels to be betrayed and offended. But I remind myself to contain anger as much as possible and if I’m losing my emotions to get mad – I remember myself I’m not perfect so I have to move on and pardon.

The moment you forgive and choose to move forward, you are unloading burdens and hate so positivity will take over. Good thing, God’s love does not keep a database of our mistakes. I’m pretty sure He got an unlimited supply of grace and forgiveness.

His love is new every morning, great is Thy faithfulness. 🙂
