Always Respond with Grace
I encountered a profit-driven business man (food business) few hours ago and when he started to enforce business rules over customer service it feels awkward and inconvenient for me as a customer. I was unaware and humbly complied because it was an honest mistake. Paid my penalty and I quickly apologized.
There are times we are innocent or ignorant and there is a big difference between the two – responsibility. Business owners follow a set of rules and we as customers pay then not to be entitled but to enjoy the food and their offer.
If someone’s way or method of correction is off, then respond back with GRACE. That’s a reflection of how responsible we are in any given situation.
I learned my lesson well. -jvc
